REALY MAE BAREFIELD
HEADLAND. . . Realy Mae Barefield, a former resident of Headland, died Friday night, March 9, 2012 in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville. She was 92.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 12, 2012, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Hugh D. Kirkland, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Barefield was a native of Henry County, daughter of the late Colon Rastus McKee and Cora Lee Williams McKee. She lived most of her lifetime in Headland before moving to the nursing facility in 2010. Mrs. Barefield was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie James Barefield, two sons, Willie James Barefield and Billy Joe Barefield, four grandchildren and all her sisters and brothers.
Surviving relatives include five daughters, Sarah Helen Mathis, Mable Hutto and Beulah Davis (Ronald), all of Headland; Pamela Sue Roberts (Stan), Sarasota, FL; Betty Elizabeth Davis (Tony), Headland; two sons, Hilton Barefield (Brenda), Midland City; Jimmy Ray Barefield (Nancy), Webb; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Surviving as active pallbearers will be Bobby Brannon, Todd Brannon, Jamie Barnes, John Breuer, Donnie Brannon and Jamie Barefield.
