Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Gilley of Hwy 85, Bellwood, Alabama passed away Monday, August 20, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was 61.


 


Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 23, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Mitchell Ussery and Rev. Huvon King officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bellwood cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, August 22, from 6 until 8 p.m.


 


Mrs. Gilley was born June 27, 1951, in Geneva County to the late Grady C. and Trudell Wood Howell.  She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Becky, affectionately known as “Nanny” to her grandchildren, loved spending time with them and also spending time with her sisters, especially on their weekly shopping trips.


 


In addition to her parents a sister, Joann Embelton preceded her in death.


 


Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Larry Gilley, Bellwood; one daughter, Tammy Archer (Joey), Bellwood; two sons: Shelton Gilley (Christy), Hartford and Chad Gilley (Maclyn), Black; seven grandchildren: Megan and Hailey Archer, Lindsay, Brayden, Bryce, Cameron and Aedan Gilley; three sisters: Marie Fuller, Hartford, Jewell Ussery (Mitchell), and Gail Gray (Teddie), all of Geneva; three brothers: Max Howell (Gail), Hartford, Pat Howell (Susan), Selma, and Jerome Howell (Janice), Bellwood; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.


 


Serving as pallbearers will be David Gilmore, Jerome “Peewee” Howell, Duane Fuller, Grady Fuller, Lee Howell, Jabo Gilley, Cassie English and Dolan Reynolds.
