Mrs. Reginal Stuckey Allen, age 89, of Midland City, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 following an extended illness. She was born on November 12, 1922 in the Memphis community of Houston County. Mrs. Allen was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dothan.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Midland City Cemetery with Dr. Samuel Prim and Reverend Allie Freeman officiating and Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.
The parlor will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday at Glover Funeral Home for friends to visit and to sign the guest register. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL. 36303.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Powell and Fannie Lee Dennis Powell; husbands, Jack F. Stuckey and Colonel Paul L. Allen; three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Sue Stuckey Woods (Fred), Jacksonville; son, Jack F. Stuckey, Jr. (Martha), Midland City; grandchildren, Dr. Kay Ellen Willoughby (Douglas), Birmingham; Dr. Glenn M. Woods(Tracey), Auburn; Jonathan D. Stuckey(Geisha), Midland City; Janna S. Rillano (Vido), Headland; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Brooks, and Ellen Willoughby, Birmingham; Alex, Merry Morgan, and Harrison Woods, Auburn; Jonathan and Marah Stuckey, Midland City; Jackson and Murphy Rillano, Headland; sister, Betty Sammons, Montgomery; a niece and several nephews.
The family expresses sincere thanks to her special caregivers who loved her like family: Ruth Hussien, Maggie Long, Jackie Hamilton, Angie Palmore and Laura Dull.
