Obituary: Reginald Whatley
Reginald Whatley of Dothan passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 at his home. He was 53.
Reginald Whatley was born October 26, 1966, to the late Horace and Frances Whatley and was the youngest of six children. At an early age, Reginald accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of Alabama Avenue Baptist Church in Dothan, AL, and later found fellowship at Dothan Community Church. He received his high school diploma from, what was then, Northview High School in Dothan, AL in 1982. Reginald was talented in many areas and held many different types of jobs in his lifetime. The one for the last 25 years, was at Dairy Fresh/Borden in Cowarts, AL. Anyone who ever crossed paths with Reginald will tell you he was passionate about Alabama Football, Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Lakers. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved everyone and was always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He will be truly missed.
Reginald is survived by his wife, Brenda, or Gail as he liked to call her; his four children: Tawanna, Decorey, Emmanuel and Amanda. Along with them, he had two step-children, Brian and Krystal; his grandchildren: Derrick Jr., Anthony Jr., Christian, Aden, Melody, Amari, Michael and Logan; Reginald had one brother, Steverson Tullis; two sisters: Edna Beechman and Anne Tiller; his four nephews: Brandon, Shawn, Tifton and Tyrel; three nieces: Nawanda, Stephanie and Ara; his uncle, Sonny Flowers; three aunts: Sarah Knight, Edna Jackson and Edna Flowers; with a host of cousins and friends.
