Renate “Renee” Maria Murray of Ozark, AL passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Dale Medical Center.  She was 64.

A memorial service will be held at Daleville Memorial Gardens at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, with Rev. Matt Simmons officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Daleville Chapel of Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mary Hill Family Service Center, 204 Katherine Avenue, Ozark, AL 36360.

Renee was a graduate of Troy State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  As a Christian, she used her life experiences helping others overcome the struggles they faced.  She loved all animals and would own a zoo if possible.  She was an avid Auburn fan and rarely missed a game.  Her magnetic personality attracted friends from all walks of life.  Renee was a beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.  She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her life partner, Chad Ivey, Ozark, AL; daughter, Lauren Murray, Opelika, AL; son, Michael Murray (Denise), Centreville, VA; parents, Tom and Ruth Konkle, Daleville, AL; brother, Danny Konkle (Kathy), Huntsville, AL; two granddaughters, Kayleigh and Karlie Smith, Opelika, AL; and her beloved Sassy.
