Rev. Carlos Ray Clark passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. He was 68 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL with Rev. Stephen Hendrick, Rev. JC Barberee, Rev. Jeremy Ivey and Rev. Grady O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Carlos was born in Opp, AL on June 25, 1956, to the late Rudolph Horace Clark and Lucile Robbins Clark. Carlos graduated from Geneva High School Class of 1975. After graduation he attended Jackson College of Ministries. Carlos worked in the mortuary industry for several years and he enjoyed serving in that role. He also served as associate pastor of First United Pentecostal Church of Geneva, AL for many years. He served in this capacity alongside his father until he retired from pastoring in 2006.  In his later years he became a faithful member of Calvary United Crestview, and he loved his church family dearly.

Carlos was a western fanatic who loved talking about the old west. He always got excited when he would get a new pair of cowboy boots or a new cowboy hat. He was also a huge Alabama Football Fan “Roll Tide Roll” and even in his final days he would ask Sheila to turn on the Alabama game so he could watch. Carlos loved people and always made sure everyone felt included.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepmother, Lanette Clark; three brothers, Larry Clark, Paul Clark, and an infant brother.

Carlos is survived by his wife Sheila Clark of Geneva, AL; two stepdaughters, Melissa Hendrick (Stephen) of Crestview, FL, and Jessica “JJ” Clark of Samson, AL; sister-in-law, Gayle Clark of Fadette, AL; two nieces, Misty Clark of Fadette, AL, and Amy Sims (Gary) of Enterprise, AL; one great nephew, Maceo Sims of Enterprise, AL.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Roy, Ricky Hogan, Glen White, Cole Randall, Damian Wiseman, and Greg Powell
