Rev. Jack Reynolds (80), a resident of Enterprise, AL passed away on April 28, 2017 at Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A celebration of his life will be held at Wesley Chapel UMC, 2235 County Road 156 Enterprise, AL, on Saturday April 29, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation at 10:00. The service will be presided over by Rev. Dan Baughman, Rev. Joe Butryn, and Rev. Ray Kelly. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bethlehem Family Camp, % Larry Moore, 5046 Peanut Road, Graceville, FL 32440.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, H F and Ethel Reynolds of Opp, AL.
Jack is survived by his wife of 43 years Alvalene "Ivey" Reynolds and children. Daughters, Debbie Lindsey, New Brockton, AL; Cindy Dunaway, Enterprise, AL; Tammy Deese, Ozark, AL; and Marcie Reynolds, Little Rock, AR. Sons ,Johnny (Anita) Dunaway; Tommy (Shawn) Dunaway all of Enterprise, AL and Kent Reynolds, Dothan, AL. Eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Brother C.F. (Joan) Reynolds, Ft.Walton Beach, FL.
For years Jack owned a floor covering and wallpaper installation business. In 1983 Jack was called into the ministry while attending Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Jack served as a local pastor for United Methodist Churches from 1983 until 2005. Jack first served at Center Ridge United Methodist Church in Coffee Springs, AL, then Mount Carmel in Echo, AL. From 1991 to 2002 Jack served as pastor of Calloway United Methodist Church in Calloway, FL. During that time he received the Harry Denman Evangelism award in 1999. He finished his ministry at Westside United Methodist Church in Geneva, AL from 2002 to 2005. Jack served as a Hospice Chaplain from 2003 to 2008. During his ministry, Jack served as Chaplain at Dale Co. High School for 3 years while serving at Mount Carmel and then served as Chaplain for Rutherford High School for 12 years while serving at Calloway.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff of Enterprise Health and Rehab, especially those on hall 4.
