Obituary: Rev. John Bradley Foxworth
Date: December 3, 2014
Rev. John Bradley Foxworth of the Highnote Community (south of Hartford), passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his home in Pansey. He was 73.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Hall and Rev. Scott Fulford officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Rev. Foxworth was born February 9, 1941 in Holmes County, FL to the late Walter Bradley and Ruby Askew Foxworth. John loved the Lord and served as a minister of the gospel for over 30 years and pastoring various churches in Alabama and Florida. He retired from the City of Esto after 25 years of service.
In addition to his parents, his first wife and mother of his daughter, Barbara Alice Foxworth; one sister and four brothers preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Ludine M. Foxworth, Pansey; daughter, Michelle Foxworth Hardin, Dothan; two step-daughters: Dianne Whaley (Zack), Rehobeth and Delores Henderson (Lee), Rehobeth; step-son, Dorman Pynes (Shelia), Anniston; two grandchildren: Claire and Bryson; eight step-grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren; two sisters: Peggy Helms, Caryville, FL and Bronease Hendrix (Marvin), Westville, FL; four brothers: Britton Brown (Jan), Lake Wales, FL, Walter Foxworth, (Reba), Hartford, Tommy Foxworth (Faye), Murphy, N.C. and Timmy Foxworth, Hartford; special friend, Joey Yancey; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
