Reverend Lloyd E. Clark, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Washington Rehab and Nursing Center in Chipley, Florida. He was 85.
Funeral services for Rev. Clark will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, April 15, 2012 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverend Charles Littlefield officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill cemetery with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 PM prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to; National Kidney Foundation, PO Box 5994, Dothan, AL 36302.
Rev. Clark was born September 25, 1926 in Hartford, Alabama to the late William Andrew and Ethel Parrish Clark. He retired from Colonial Baking Company as a mechanic and painter. Rev. Clark was an ordained Assembly of God pastor and pastored seven churches in the Wiregrass area. He enjoyed gardening and especially woodworking.
Rev. Clark is preceded in death by his wife, Dolly Doris Clark; step-grandson, Steven Reeves; four sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include a son, Allen Clark (Betty), Prattville; daughter, Remona Lucas (Edward), Dothan; three grandchildren, Travis Reeves, Bridgette Simmons (Eric), Alicia Dukes; three great grandchildren, Katie, Jared and Caleb; sister, Lucille Wood, Dothan.
