Rev. William "Buddy" Horace Martin, 95, of Dothan passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Wesley Manor.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Martin was born April 22, 1917 and was married to the late Mattie Lee Senn Martin for 68 years and 10 months. He was a member of the Magnolia Free Will Baptist Church and was an ordained minister in the Church of God ministries. He was preceded in death by his wife Mattie Lee Senn Martin, his parents Robert Lee and Maudie Bell Martin, 1 brother and 4 sisters.

Survivors include sons, William Lee and Rebecca Martin of Midland City, and Norman Max Martin of Franklin, GA; 7 grandchildren, Ricky (Melissa) Martin of Dothan, Rachel (Mike) Beckon of Guin, AL, Sheila Eschbach of Dothan, Raymond Martin of Dothan, Amy (Allen) Hendrickson of Cowarts, Kimberly ( Mark) Walding of Midland City, and Michelle Martin of Franklin, GA; brothers, Tommy (Louise) Martin of Dothan, and Edsel (Neda) Martin of Panama City, FL; a sister Kathleen Blackmon of Wewahitchka, FL; 14 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Martin, Brandon Martin, Josh Martin, Fred Sitz, Joe Beckon, and Mark Walding.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Wesley Manor and Covenant Hospice for all of their wonderful care and support given.
