OZARK… Reverend Dr. Henry James Boynton, Sr., a resident of Ozark, died early Wednesday morning, August 7, 2024, at his home. He was 85.


            In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.


            Mr. Boynton, son of the late Henry Theodore Boynton and Marilee Card Boynton, was a native of Rhinlander, Wisconsin and moved to Ozark in December 2001. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Germany. Mr. Boynton received his Doctorate Degree in Ministry and was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Ozark. One of his favorite things was playing the banjo and “tinkering” with old engines. He married the love of his life December 15, 1959, Janet Fish Boynton. Mr. Boynton was preceded in death by a son, Howard Boynton and a sister, Priscilla DuChaive.


            Surviving relatives include his wife of sixty-four years, Janet Dorean Boynton; daughters, Anna M. Boynton (Patti); sons, Henry James Boynton, Jr., all of Ozark and Kirt Douglas Boynton (Colleen), San Jose, California; two grandchildren, Caitlyn Boynton and Christian Boynton; nieces and nephews.
