Obituary: Reverend Lambert “Cecil” Beck

Reverend Lambert “Cecil” Beck of Midland City went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 17, 2022.  He was 89.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022 in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Headland with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will recieve friends at the funeral home in Slocomb from 9:00 a.m until 10:00 a.m.

Rev. Beck was born May 3, 1932 in Santa Rosa County, Florida to the late Lee Roy and Thelma Lucille Hall Beck. Cecil was a great man of faith and dedicated servant of Christ. He was ordained with the Living Word of Faith Fellowship and was active in Children’s Ministry for many years.  He was known as the “Butterfly Man” by young and old for his musical rendition of If I was A Butterfly, a children’s praise and worship song.

In addition to his parents, his loving wife, Barbara Ruth Richardson Beck, and other family members preceded him in death.

His survivors are many, both biological and spiritual!  Bro. Beck fought a good fight, has finished his course, and has kept the faith! A crown of righteousness is his reward and heaven is his new home!
