REVEREND MIKE LEE
SHORTERVILLE. . .Reverend Mike Lee, a resident of Shorterville, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at his home. He was 57.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in the Shorterville Baptist Church with Brother Johnny Littlefield and Brother Curtis Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shorterville Baptist Church, c/o Rossie Money, 2457 County Road 91, Abbeville, AL 36310, or to Gentiva Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL 36302.
Brother Mike Lee was born and reared in Ft. Gaines, Georgia and was a graduate of Clay County High School. He lived in Ft. Gaines most of his adult lifetime and resided in Shorterville since 2003 where he was serving as the Pastor of the Shorterville Baptist Church. In earlier years, Brother Mike served as Pastor of the Sykes Creek Baptist Church in Clio, the Zion Free Will Baptist Church in Early County, GA., and the Bethel Baptist Church in Clay County, GA. He was a member of the Shorterville Baptist Church and the Judson Baptist Association. Brother Mike was preceded in death by his father, Harold D. Lee.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Karen Daughtry Lee; a daughter, Lexa Parker (Johnathan), Shorterville; two sons, Jonathan Baker, Shorterville; and Mikie Lee, Ft. Gaines, GA; his mother, Margie Standley Lee, Ft. Gaines; a sister, Melanie Bryan (Jackie), Geneva, AL; and a brother, David Lee (Julie), Ft. Gaines; two grandchildren, Weston Lee, and Madison Parker; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a host of other special loving family members.
