ABBEVILLE. . .Reverend Robert C. Partin, a resident of Abbeville, died early Monday morning, May 30, 2022, at his home. He was 79.


Memorial services will be held at a later date. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.


Reverend Robert Partin was born and raised in Jeff Davis County, Georgia, son of the late Albert Andrew Partin and Olif Bazemore Partin. He lived most of his lifetime in Hazlehurst, Georgia before moving to Hardridge Creek in Henry County, Alabama in 2013. Reverend Partin was a member of the Graham Baptist Church, Graham, Georgia. He was retired as a heavy equipment operator. After retirement, Reverend Partin served as a Pentecostal Minister at Providence Baptist Church, Coffee County, Georgia and also served as an Evangelist. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Hazlehurst Masonic Lodge No. 283.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Slocumb, and two brothers, David Partin and Henry Partin.


Surviving relatives include his wife, Hazel Kersey Partin, a daughter, Melinda Partin Cisco (Ashley), Abbeville; a son, Dewey Partin (Casey), Hazelhurst, GA; three sisters, Inez Chambers, Uvalda, GA; Grace Wood (Ronald), Denton, GA; and Marion Phillips, Douglas, GA; two brothers, Homer Partin, Douglas, GA; and Charles Partin (Almeda), Roanoke, AL; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
