Rex Edward Woodham
Rex Edward Woodham, age 80, of Dothan, passed away at Flowers Hospital on October 2, 2020 after a brief illness.
Funeral service will be at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dothan Alabama with Bro. Bob Sanders officiating Friday, October 9, 2020 at 1pm with visitation one-hour prior. A private graveside service for the family will be in Graceville, Florida.
Rex was born on September 16, 1940 in Midland City, AL to John and Willie Mae Marshall Woodham.
Rex graduated from Dale County High School in 1958. During high school, he played Basketball and was in FFA-Future Farmers of America. He LOVED the Lord, his family, fishing and gardening. He worked at Hayes/Pemco for over 50 years where he was recognized as the longest employee that worked there as an aircraft mechanic and farmed for over 50 years as well. After retiring he enjoyed volunteering at The Mission House. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dothan Alabama.
Survivors include his wife Debbie Grant Woodham, son, Edward Blake Woodham (Alison), Daughters, Tracey Woodham Koch (Jeff), Renae Woodham Ward (Andy), Becky Woodham Higginbotham, Mary Ellen Burch Odom (Bobby), Roseann Burch Givens (Ashley),
Grandchildren include Christopher Woodham, Caleb Koch, Taylor Gilpin, Abby Koch, Nate Ward, Faith Ward, Anson Holley (Brittnee), Hunter Odom (Jasmine), Cole Odom, Will Givens. Also surviving are sisters Myra Nell Brown, Elnor Black, Joni Merker, Mother-In-Law Mary Grant.
The family is asking that everyone attending the funeral to please wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund in Dothan Alabama in honor of Rex Woodham.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Koch, Ashley Givens, Andy Ward, Bobby Odom, Nate Ward, Will Givens. Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Grant Odom and Cole Odom.
