Rhonda Kirkland Park, age 52 of Newton passed away Thursday March 6, 2014 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 3pm Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home with Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2pm until 3pm Sunday. Rhonda was born August 30, 1961 in Houston County and she lived here the early years of her life. She was a 1979 graduate of Rehobeth High School and completed a four year tour of duty with the United States Air Force. She was employed with Michelin Tire Company for twenty years until her recent disability. Rhonda loved to fish and camp at Lake Talquin Florida with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents Willy Floyd Kirkland and Carolyn Peters and her sister Cindy Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, of 24 years, William Park, her three sons, Jason Park, Travis Carlton and William F. Park Jr. and his wife Jody; a granddaughter Avery Park; her brother Ronald Floyd Kirkland and his wife Shirley; her stepmother Edna Kirkland; a niece Casey Knight; two great nieces and a large extended family.
