Ria Karman Lee, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on December 15, 1966, in Indonesia, Ria was a beacon of love, adventure, and selflessness, whose radiant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Ria was the cherished daughter of Karman and Oei Aij-Soean, and the adored sister of Kimin Karman, Sujani Karman, Supia Karman, and Livawaty Karman. She was a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews, who will remember her fondly for her warmth and kindness. Ria's love story with her husband, Apuleyo Rodriguez-Diaz, was one of deep affection and mutual respect. Together, they raised their daughter, Leyrianne Rodriguez. Ria's devotion to her family was unwavering, and she instilled in them the values of love, compassion, and resilience.

In 2000, Ria made the brave journey from Indonesia to the United States, bringing with her a spirit of adventure and a desire to create a better life for her family. She worked as a manager at Hibachi Joe, where she was known for her dedication, hard work, and infectious positivity.

Ria was a devout Buddhist, and her faith played a significant role in her life. She believed in the power of compassion and kindness, and she lived these values every day. Her spiritual beliefs guided her through life's challenges and brought her peace in her final days.

Ria had a zest for life that was truly inspiring. She loved shopping, often finding joy in the simple act of browsing through stores and discovering new treasures. Traveling and adventures were also a significant part of Ria's life. She loved exploring new places and creating beautiful memories with her family.
