Ricky Eric Roney, age 58 of Columbia passed away early Thursday morning, June 21, 2018 at Flowers Hospital following a brief illness.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Family First Funeral Care from 10am until 11am. A memorial service will be held at a later time.

Ricky was born and lived in Houston County most all his life. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy for over ten years. He later worked at International Paper in Dothan for 21 years. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his father, Wilburn Roney of Ashford; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and William Griswold of Columbia and two nieces, Angel Griswold of Dothan and Traci Griswold of Mobile.
