Ricky LaDon Tice, a resident of Cottonwood, AL passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at a residence in Cottonwood. He was 56 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Deese officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ricky was born November 23, 1961 in Houston County, AL and lived most of his life in Cottonwood, AL. He was a 1980 graduate of Cottonwood High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for 8 years. Following his military service, Ricky worked at Farley Nuclear Plant for several years until his disability retirement. He loved spending time with his friends, neighbors, and family especially his grandchildren. Ricky was preceded in death by his sister, Sherri McKeel.

Survivors include his parents, Richard and Jeanette Tice; daughter, Britney (T.C.) Killingsworth; son, Kevin Tice; grandchildren, Kara Brooke Killingsworth, Briley Killingsworth, and Nathan Tice; a sister, Donna Tice; nephews, Jacob Thomas and Jamie Dowling.
