RITCHIE THAD ZORN
ABBEVILLE. . .Ritchie Thad Zorn, a resident of Abbeville, died Friday morning, February 2, 2018, at his home. He was 63.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 5, 2018, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Ray S. Reiley and Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Drive, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a favorite charity.
Ritchie Zorn was born and reared in Eufaula and was a 1972 graduate of Eufaula High School. He attended Wallace Community College and received a Nursing Degree from Auburn University. He later received a certificate from the Manley Cummins School of Anesthesia in Dothan. Ritchie was formerly employed by the Southeast Alabama Medical Center as a CRNA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. Ritchie was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Eufaula and affiliated with Union Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Thad Zorn.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Grace Griggs Zorn; two sons, Taylor Zorn, Woodruff, SC; and Hunter Zorn, Columbus, GA; his mother, Margaret “Tobie” Zorn, Dothan; a sister, Deborah Raper (Mark), Dothan; a grandson, Gauge Zorn; brothers-in-law, John Green (Ellen) and Earl Worthy (Gaye).
