Mr. Albert was born in Sprague, West Virginia to the late Essie Mae Albert and Ruby Tyree Albert. He had previously lived in Hollywood, Florida until moving to the Ashford, Alabama area about 15 years ago. Until his retirement, Bob was a carpenter by trade. He loved crafting furniture, swings, jewelry boxes, and just about anything you could show him out of wood. He was a car enthusiast and loved working on cars and engines. Above all he was a honest man who deeply touched the lives of those around him. Bob and his wife, Dorothy, made a dynamic bowling and horseshoe team. He and his son Ron enjoyed bowling together in friendly competitions. He and his son Bobby spent countless hours working on cars together.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Crystal Thomas, Faye Ferguson, Barbara Nichols; his brothers, Charles Albert and Bill Albert; and granddaughter, Christina Albert.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Dorothy Withrow Albert; his sons, Robert “Bobby” L. Albert, Jr. (Laurie) and Ronald “Ron” Albert (Cindy); his sisters, Rose Barnabi and Joyce Laws; and his great-grandson, Logan Henriquez.
