Obituary:  Robert Bert Clarke

 

Mr. Robert “Bob” Bert Clarke (U.S. Army Retired) of Enterprise went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the family residence surrounded by his family. He was 81.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from the Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Enterprise with Rev. Johnny Bryant officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Enterprise City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 9:00am and continuing until service time.

 Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the building fund at the First Assembly of God Church in Enterprise.

 Mr. Clarke was born December 23, 1935 in Rochester, N.Y. to the late Bert and Clara Evans Clarke. He was  retired as an E-6  from the U.S. Army after having served tours in Korea and Viet Nam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Myrtle and Mary as well as a brother, Edgar.

 Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Hodges Clarke, Enterprise, AL, 1 son, Thomas Clarke and his wife Michelle, New Brockton, AL, 3 grandchildren, Brittany and her husband Evan, Dylan and his wife Sara Beth, and Katie, 1 great grandchild, Addie Jo, numerous other relatives.
