ROBERT “BOB” McSWEAN
ABBEVILLE, AL… Robert “Bob” McSwean, a resident of Extendicare Health Center in Dothan, Alabama, formerly of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Sunday morning, March 20, 2022. He was 71.
A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 25, 2022, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Teddy Ward officiating. A private family burial will be held later at Abbeville Memorial Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. McSwean lived in Abbeville, Alabama, as did his late parents, Robert Horace “Judge Mac” McSwean and Leslie Holland McSwean. He was a 1969 Graduate of Abbeville High School. After earning his associate’s degree from Marion Military Institute in 1971, he served others as a salesman and was a true friend to many. He was recognized by others for his kindness and generosity, always having a joke to tell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dothan. Bob enjoyed Southern Gospel Music and was an avid fisherman, he loved animals and never met a stranger. Cooking was also a hobby of Bob’s, and he was known for his fried cornbread.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his son, Benjamin McSwean (Hannah) of Dothan, AL; his daughter, Kayla Greathouse (Dustin) of Dothan, AL; his granddaughters, Blakely Rose and Ava Mack Greathouse.
