Robert “Bob” William Martin
Robert “Bob” Martin, age 71, passed away Sunday evening March 3, 2019 at his home in Ozark with his loving wife Pat and son Allen by his side.
Military graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday March 12, 2019 at Woodland Memorial Gardens Cemetery Ozark with his step-son Mr. Allen Hagler delivering the eulogy and Family First Funeral & Cremation Care of Dothan directing. The family will be receiving friends at their home after graveside services.
Mr. Martin was the son of the late "E.J." Eugene Jewel Martin and Noela Mavis Chipendall Martin, and was also preceded in death by a brother Tom Martin.
Bob was an exceptionally loving husband, father, brother, and Opa. He served in the US Army during Vietnam as a Huey pilot. He also worked at Fort Rucker as an instructor pilot for many years with the Department of Training and Development. Bob later worked as a Project Engineer for Intercostal Electronics "ICE", located in Mesa, Arizona. He was also retired from the US Army Reserve as a CW-4. During Bob’s distinguished military service career, he was awarded many numerous medals to include Vietnam Service and Campaign Medal, Air Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal, and many more.
Survivors include wife Patricia "Pat" A. Martin of Ozark, step sons Allen Hagler and his wife Niki of Enterprise, Eric Hagler and Melissa of Ozark, sisters, Ann and husband Steve Bell of Birmingham, Peggy and husband David Parker of Birmingham, special aunt Lucile Ling of Birmingham, special cousins, Linda and Judy of Birmingham, grandchildren, Robert Christopher “Chris” Hagler of Houston, TX., and Cierra Jordan “C J” Hagler of Enterprise, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to our extended family and friends for their love, prayers and support for Bob and Pat through the years as well as his "angel" caregivers during his last few months of life.
Care for the Martin family is being provided by Randy Crenshaw, Jason Shepard and the Family First staff.
