Dr. William Roy "Bill"  Dupree (Margaret Jorgas) of Cincinnati, OH. His sisters were Eugenia Mae Dupree Rogers Ward (Mrs.Perry Mack Rogers,  Mrs.  O'dell Ward) of Dothan, AL and Jewell Merriam Dupree Parrish (Mrs. Raymond Hollis) of Dothan, AL. Sheldon Maxey and Dora Irene died in infancy. Bob was one of the last of "The Greatest Generation." During WWII, he joined the US Army and became a mess Sergeant at Camp Hood, TX, now Ft. Hood. He was quite well-known for his apple pies.  While there, he left the kitchen behind and joined the paratroops, becoming a member of the 503rd Airborne, Regimental Combat Team, "The Rock". The 503rd jumped on Corregidor, the Philippines, in February, 1945.  Bob was a demolitions experts, jumping with many pounds of explosives. Bob left the Army on December 25, 1945.  After the war, Bob went to work for Nathan and Aaron Kreselsky in Dothan and became an outstanding "shoe man".  He later worked for Baxter's Shoes and moved his family to Andalusia AL in 1959, to manage the store there.  His wife's health led the Duprees to Ft Myers, Floirda, but missing home, they returned to Andalusia where Bob worked for Durrell and Pat Smith at Dale's Shoes.  Years later, they would return to Dothan where Bob worked for _Gayfers_____, later Dillard's.  They returned to Ft. Myers once again when Dot's health was failing her.  She passed away in Ft. Myers on December 13,  1996.  After Dot's death, Bob lived with his grandson, Gray Foshee and his family for several months before going to live with his daughter, Bobbie and her husband, Julian, in Andalusia, AL.Two of Bob's greatest passions were cooking and gardening. For many, many years, he cooked spaghetti for the Civitan Club and other civic organizations in Andalusia.  During this time, he also made pancakes for the Pilot Club's annual pancake breakfast.  Bob wasn't just a great cook, he was an avid gardener.  His daylilies and amaryllis were some of the most beautiful you will ever see!  He often gave them away and even planted them in the yards of his family and friends. For the past 3 years, Bob has resided at Florala Health and Rehab where the staff, headed by Sara Goolsby, has taken extraordinary care of Bob and all of his needs, even allowing him to plant his beloved flowers in the garden behind the dining hall.  Not only did the entire staff take good care of Bob, they also loved him, and for all of this, his family thanks you!!!

Bob is survived by his two daughters, Bobbie Ann (Julian Gray)  Foshee, of Andalusia AL and Cape Coral FL,  and Debbie (James Carl) Williams of Indian Rocks Beach FL;  6 grandchildren:  Gray Foshee (Shelly McGill) of Ft. Myers, FL, Melanie Geenen (Mrs. Jeffrey) of Cape Coral, FL; Kenneth Williams (Cecili Thompson) of Annandale VA; Christopher Williams, Tampa FL;  Adam Williams (Kimberly Mark) of Clearwater, FL: and Daniel Williams of Pensacola and Indian Rocks Beach FL; and 10 great grand children:   Brit, Quinton, Jeret, Micah, Hannah, Rachel, and Bruce Foshee;  Peter Geenen: and Piper and Emerson Williams (Kenneth). The most important thing in Bob's life was his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  It would be his prayer for you that you give your life to Christ today.  If he were here to speak to you, he would leave you with these words, "God loves you and so do I".  Rest in Peace, Papa,  We love you and we will see you and Mama again in Heaven.  Your Girls, Bobbie "Sam" and "D" and all your family.
