SFC Robert H. Stanfield (U.S. Army Ret.), 66, a resident of Ozark, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Van Clack officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Stanfield was born January 10, 1950 in Race Pond, GA and lived the early years of his life there and in Waycross, GA. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Army for over 24 years retiring in July 1992 as a Sergeant First Class. Following his military career, he served in Civil Service as an electrical engineer/radar technician until January 2016. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with and riding his motorcycles.

Survivors include his sons, Kyle Stanfield, Chad Stanfield, Chris Stanfield, and Adam Stanfield; his daughters, Alex Stanfield and Heidi Stanfield; his grandchildren, Taysean, Jaucelynn, Kyra, Chris, Jay, Joe, Rachel, Jaydan, and Jacob; his sisters, Grace, Sue, and Deborah.
