ABBEVILLE. . .Robert Kirt Mims, a resident of Abbeville, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in Dothan. He was 60.

            There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Kirt Mims was born in Ft. Gaines, Georgia and was reared in the Wills Crossroads Community of Henry County. He was retired from the Jospeh M. Farley Nuclear Plant, near Columbia. Kirt was currently employed by Grand South Senior Living in Dothan. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jerry Mims, his mother, Lavonia Avery Grimsley, and a sister, Laura Lisenby.

            Surviving relatives include his former wife, Robyn Chestnut Mims, a son, Robert Dillon Mims, and his step-mother, Nancy Ethridge Mims, all of Abbeville; several nieces and nephews.
