ASHFORD. . .Robert Nathan Mattson, a resident of Ashford, died Wednesday morning, August 14, 2019, at his home. He was 84.

            There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time.

            Mr. Mattson was born in Laurium, Michigan, son of the late Eino Y. Mattson and Florence Wouri Mattson. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War era and was a friend of Elvis Presley while serving in the military. Mr. Mattson lived in Rockledge, Florida before moving to Ashford in 2005.

            Surviving are his friends, Diana and Ronnie Bryan, Ashford.
