OZARK…. Robert Ralph Brauer, Jr., a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday afternoon, September 12, 2018, at Flowers Hospital, Dothan. He was 55.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 16, 2018, in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chad Ingle, of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brauer Scholarship Fund, c/o Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2454 Andrews Avenue, Ozark, AL 36360.
Mr. Brauer was born May 3, 1963 in Ozark, Alabama and was a 1981 Graduate of Carroll High School. He attended the University of Alabama and was a graduate of Troy University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. Mr. Brauer was self-employed and until recently maintained his business. He enjoyed being with his lifelong friends and was an avid University of Alabama Football fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ralph Brauer, Sr.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Kristi Hutto Brauer; his daughter, Claire Brauer; his son, Coleman Brauer; mother, Barbara Mobley Brauer, all of Ozark; two sisters, Jeanie Flowers (McDavid, Sr.) and Christina Oresti, all of Dothan; brother, Mike Brauer (Lottie), Ozark; nieces and nephews, McDavid Flowers, Jr. (Caroline), Jeanie Flowers Mann (Caleb), Christina Flowers Holloway (Lanford), Charles Flowers, Martin Flowers, Tazewell Flowers, Hubbert Brauer Couch, Isabella Christina Oresti, and Elizabeth Tuttle (Matt); great nieces and great-nephews, Margaret Camille Flowers, Mary Ellen Mann, Elizabeth Grace Mann and Mary Mac Tuttle; mother-in-law, Sara York Brogden (Earl), Ozark; brother-in-law, Alan Hutto, Dothan.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Doug Beverly, Johnny Oliver, Jeff Chancey, Chris Barranco, Rick Barranco, and Mike Walker.
