Robert S. Breed, age 75, of Enterprise, AL passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 3, 2024.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 9, 2024 at College Avenue Church of Christ with Minister Caleb Cochran and Minister Joey Barrett officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wiregrass Christian Academy, PO Box 311470, Enterprise, AL 36331. 

Robert “Bob” Breed aka “Big Daddy” was born in Birmingham, AL to Harry and Elaine Breed on February 17, 1948.  He went to school at Ramsey High School.  He married Susan Crosby on July 12, 1971 in Birmingham, AL.  He worked as a police officer for Enterprise Police Department and retired as Lieutenant after 26 years.  He served in the Army Reserve then switched to the National Guard where he served for 24 years and retired as SFC “E7”.  He was one of the organizers of the Enterprise Citizens Police Academy, a member of the Enterprise Lions Club and assisted his wife in running the monthly meals on wheels program at College Avenue Church of Christ.

Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Adams, two grandchildren, Austin Adams and Miranda Adams, one sister, Patricia Howell, and parents, Harry and Elaine Breed.

Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan C. Breed; two daughters, Sherri Kelsey (Chuck) and Jennifer Trott (Chad); five grandchildren, Hayley O’Neal (Zack), Matthew Trott (Laken), Ryan Littel, Madden Falkner-Kelsey and Blake Kelsey; two great grandchildren, Rutledge O’Neal and Liam Trott. 

Pallbearers will be Richie Bell, Hilton Galloway, Littleton Chatham, Steve James, Daryl Griswold and Jason Adams.
