A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 2:00pm in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joe Patterson and Reverend Philip Harrelson officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Monday. Burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Robert Wayne Redden went to his Heavenly home on Friday, March 10, 2023. He passed away at a local hospital. He was 74 years old.
Robert was born on October 9, 1948 in Rome, Georgia to Herschel and Grace Redden. He lived in Phenix City until he moved to Enterprise as a teenager where he met his neighbor, now wife of 54 years, Patricia. Robert was drafted into the Vietnam War as a young man. He is known for his “Nutty Man’s Peanuts”, his love for Alabama Football, as well as being a prayer warrior. He was employed as a journeyman for Atlantic Group. When he was not working, he was with his family or on a golf course.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; his children, Joey Redden (Kim), Donnie Redden, and Renee Butler (John); his grandchildren, Abby Redden, Brody Redden, Hunter Redden, Brodie Layne Redden, Rebekah McMurrey (Nathan), Jonathan Butler (Amanda), and Sarah Butler (David Anthony Ulry); his great grandchildren, Isabella McMurrrey, Noah Butler, and Carolina Butler; his brother, Larry Redden (Sue); his sister, Linda King; and his sweet cat, Cali.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Rudy Redden; and two sisters, Grace Janet Smith and Carol Cox..
