WICKSBURG. . .Robert Woods Adams, a resident of Wicksburg, died Monday afternoon, December 2, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. He was 88.
     The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations in Headland.
     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim Home Baptist Church, 13534 West U. S. Highway 84, Newton, AL 36352.
     Mr. Adams was born and reared in the Webb area of Houston County, son of the late Daniel James Adams and Eula Beatrice Nowell Adams. He lived in Dothan most of his adult lifetime before moving to Wicksburg in 1979. Mr. Adams served his country in the Air National Guard. He attended Pilgrim Home Baptist Church in Wicksburg. Mr. Adams was retired as an Avionics Technician at Fort Rucker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elna Jean Parmer Adams, and three brothers, Arthur B. Adams, Charles Ray Adams and Danny K. Adams.
     Surviving relatives include a daughter, Mary Adams Watson (Gary), Enterprise; and a son, Robert Lee Adams, Dothan; several nieces and nephews.
