ABBEVILLE. . .Robin Sauls Bailey, a resident of Abbeville, died early Tuesday evening, October 29, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. She was 73.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 1, 2024, in the Judson Baptist Church with Reverend Brandon Turner and Reverend Mickey Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Judson Baptist Church, c/o Ann Watford, P.O. Box 224, Abbeville, AL 36310.

            Robin Bailey was a lifelong resident of the Screamer community of Henry County, daughter of the late Marion Long Galloway and Tommye Money Galloway. She attended Abbeville High School. Robin was a member of Judson Baptist Church. She was retired as Customer Service Representative from the Alfa Insurance Agency in Abbeville after over thirty years employment. After retirement, Robin worked at the Judson Baptist Association and volunteered as a poll worker. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Robert Sauls, who was the father of her children, and Tillman Lamar Parson and Mertice Lee Bailey and a brother, Bruce Galloway.

            Surviving relatives incude her son, Derek Sauls and his wife Sandra, Dothan; her daughter, Shannon Sauls Holman and her husband, Alan, Abbeville; her grandchildren, Rayne Danzey, Ethan Danzey and Jacob Sauls; step-sons, Russell Bailey and Kenneth Bailey and his wife, Angela, all of Abbeville; a brother, Terry Galloway and his wife, Janice, Dothan; a sister-in-law, Lucy Hitsman, Freeburg, Illinois; step-grandchildren, Brooke Yocum, Paige Bailey, Morgan Bailey, Jamie Bailey, Aaron Bailey (Shannon) and Lindsey Price; eight step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Angie Sauls; special fur baby “Gabi”, and lifelong friends, Pam Murphy and Lamar Turner.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Wayne Shadell, Russell Bailey, Kenneth Bailey, Aaron Bailey, Erwin Sauls and T. J. East.
