Rodney Lamar Preachers went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 14th at Flowers Hospital, Dothan, AL. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Free Will Baptist Church, 404 E. Park Avenue, Enterprise, AL, on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 5 PM.
Rodney was born on December 6, 1961 in Franklington, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Vivian Preachers.
Rodney is survived by his sister, Tammy Preachers (Doug) Lindley; nephews, Joshua (Savannah) Lindley, Gabe (Tera) Lindley, and Noah Lindley; niece, Hannah Lindley Johnson; great-niece and great-nephew Madison Brooke Johnson and Joshua Barrett Lindley.
As a child Rod loved comic books, toys, and movies which spilled over into his adult life. He was an avid reader and enjoyed walking everywhere. Rodney always loved superheroes and helping others.
Rodney’s body has been donated to the University of Alabama Anatomical Gifts Program to be used to find new cures and procedures to save lives. Because of this act, Rodney is now a superhero. His legacy will live on and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends after the Memorial Service at the home of Sharon Lindley, Goodman Community.
