Mr. Roger Dale Lounsbury of Geneva passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015. He was 61.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Scott Crooms officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
Roger was born April 9, 1953, in Wisconsin, Illinois, to the late Herbert Leroy and Patricia Darlene Hock Lounsbury. Affectionately known as cowboy or the rattlesnake man, Roger owned and operated his own construction business for the past four years. He had previously worked for Reliable Products for a number of years.
In addition to his parents, his mother-in-law, Virgilene Barry, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Michele Barry Lounsbury; one daughter, Christina Blackburn; two grandchildren: Kristopher and Krystal Blackburn, all of Geneva; one sister, Kathy (David) Walker of Westville; one brother, Mark Prosser of West Palm Beach, FL; two nieces: Tiffany Waddell and Audra Walker; two nephews: Travis Walker and Joey Goodwin; one very special great niece, Ally Waddell; other extended family and friends.
