ASHFORD. . . Ronald Kevin Ard, a resident of Ashford, died Friday morning July 7, 2017, at his home. He was 55.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, July 9, 2017, in the Center Baptist Church, near Webb, with Dr. Charles Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday in the church sanctuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Center Baptist Church, P.O. Box 129, Webb, AL 36376 or DaySpring Hospice, 201 West Lee Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.
Kevin Ard was born and reared in Dothan and was a graduate of Rehobeth High School. He lived in Taylor before moving to the Greenfront Community, between Webb and Ashford, in 1995. He was a member of the Center Baptist Church and was actively involved as a volunteer at the National Peanut Festival. Kevin was employed by Solomon Chevrolet-Cadillac in the parts department. He was an avid Alabama Football fan. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Pearce Ard, a brother, Tommy Lamar Ard, and his father-in-law, Johnny Buie.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Amy Buie Ard; three sons, Shane Ard (Ashley), Dothan; John Wesley Ard and Jacob Ard, both of Ashford; his mother, Louise Hutto Ard, Dothan; three brothers, Terry Ard, Tuscumbia; Louie Ard (Sue), Enterprise; Roy Ard (Diane), Dothan; two grandchildren, Kirsten Ard and Bree Ard; his mother-in-law, Mary Buie; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Melisa Buie, Carol Buie, Wayne Buie.
