Ronald Rusich

Ronald Rusich, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at a local hospital. He was 85.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10 am on Monday, July 6, 2020 in Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Kyle Gatlin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9-10 am. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Covenant United Methodist Church.

Mr. Rusich was born on February 1, 1935 in Hibbing, Minnesota. He joined the US Air Force and served for 20 years. He moved to Dothan in 1974 from Homestead, Florida and worked with Southeast Health as an Xray Technician for 20 years. Mr. Rusich was a handy man and could repair most anything. He never idled very well and kept himself busy with such things as wood working and making stained glass art. He enjoyed driving, picking up vehicles for local dealerships.

Mr. Rusich was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Mary Rusich and by his brother, Richard Rusich.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Rusich; his daughter, Karen (Billy) Tharp; his 2 grandchildren, Holly Sizemore and Bo Sizemore; his sisters-in-law, Landis Godwin and Bonnie Rusich; and several nieces and nephews.
