Ronnie Wayne Jackson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was born on November 29, 1949, in Dothan and passed comfortably at his residence on October 1, 2023.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Ashford City Cemetery with Brother David Baker and Pastor Tim Wheeler officiating with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.Flowers will be accepted.
Mr. Jackson was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church in Ashford, AL. Professionally, he was the proud owner and operator of Jackson Farms. His passion for farming and years of dedication to his work were recognized and revered by all. A man of many interests, among his favorites was fishing. His love and joy for his work impacted everyone, and he often considered his farm as his second family.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Jackson and Lela Moss Jackson, and sisters Kathleen Kelly and Linda Sue Jackson.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Lee Anna Jackson, and his treasured daughters Anna Lee Jackson Guess (Steve) and Jenny Jackson Reid (Andrew). He will also be fondly remembered by his sisters, Betty Trawick (Wayne), and Wylene McCullough (Thad), a brother-in-law Charlie Brannon, and a sister-in-law Pat Pritchard (Ed). His joy in life was being grandfather to Ashton Jernigan, Savanna Guess (Jacob), Jackson Reid, Ella Grace Reid, and great-grandfather to Weston and Luke Searcy.
The legacy of Ronnie Wayne Jackson will forever flourish, just like the crops he tended in his treasured fields.
