SKIPPERVILLE…. Ronny McGowan, Jr., a resident of Skipperville, died Tuesday, October 6, 2020. He was 32.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, October 12, 2020 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Beersheba Cemetery, near Skipperville. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
Ronny was a native of Skipperville and was a 2007 Graduate of Carroll High School. He attended Wallace Community College and Troy University. Ronny was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church and was formerly employed with Trailer World in Ozark as a painter.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, Ella McGowan, Dothan; his parents, Ronny McGowan, Sr. and Julia Ketchum McGowan, Skipperville; his sister, Amanda Chancey (Ryan), Dothan; his brother, Jimmy McGowan (Jana), Echo Community; nieces and nephews, Gage McGowan, Kelsey McGowan, Carson McGowan, Avery McGowan, Addison McGowan, Kelex Chancey, and Hallam Chancey; aunts and uncles, Lois Suggs, Ozark, Kathy Henson, Park Hills, MO, Netta Moses (Mel), Ozark, Kim McGowan (Chris Little), Skipperville and Harold McGowan (Cathy), Ewell.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Gage McGowan, Derrick Childree, Ryan Chancey, Hunter Bowers, Cheyenne Morrison, and Dewayne Hayes.
