Rosemarie Potter, 75, passed away Monday January 11, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Potter was born September 18, 1940 in IdarOberstein Germany where she met and married her late husband John William Potter. She became a military wife and traveled the country with him. They came to the United States in 1964 and moved to Dothan in 1998. She was a member of the German-American Clubs. She loved animals and was an activist with local animal shelters where she worked tirelessly for abandoned and unwanted animals.

Survivors include her sons, Mike (Denise) Potter, and Billy (Della-Rie) Potter; 4 grandchildren, Kristin Potter-Oliveri, Jennifer Potter, Ryan Potter, and Casey Potter; 4 great-grandchildren, Aidan Swink, Haleigh Potter, Dylan Bass and Ella Oliveri; several nieces and nephews also survive.
