ROTHA NOWELL GAILBREATH
LONGWOOD, FLORIDA. . . Rotha Nowell Gailbreath, most recently a resident of Chambrel of Island Lakes in Longwood, Florida, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012. She was 88.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Tim Willis officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the mortuary chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to your favorite charity are requested.
Mrs. Gailbreath was the daughter of the late William Otho Nowell and Ruby Starling Nowell. Rotha was born and raised in Henry County before marrying Joseph K. Gailbreath and eventually settling in El Paso, Texas. After the loss of her husband, Rotha moved to Dothan where she was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and a member of Nadine Watkins Sunday school class. Mrs. Gailbreath was currently a member of the First Baptist Church of Longwood, Florida.
Mrs. Gailbreath is preceded in death by a daughter Linda Gailbreath Taylor and sisters, Anna Lois Treiber and Corine Nowell Wood and her husband Shelley A. Wood and brothers, Otis Nowell and his wife, Flo, Durwood Nowell and Buford Nowell.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Debora White of Winter Park, Florida, Sharon Watson and husband, John, Debary, Florida; a son, Wayne Gailbreath and wife Mary Gail, El Paso, Texas; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A sister Wynell Douglas of Dothan and a brother Larry Nowell and wife, Eugenia of Headland; sisters-in-law, Maureen Nowell, Headland and Pat Nowell, Panama City, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be family only at Gardens of Memory.
