Ruby Elizabeth Crosby Tidwell of Atlanta GA and formerly of Chancellor AL went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2012. She was born on Nov 19, 1933 in Alabama to Hardy and Ginnie B Crosby. She was the eldest of 8 children. She met the love of her life Robert Edward Tidwell and married him Dec 23, 1952.
As an army wife she followed her husband all over the US and Germany making a home where ever they were. She loved to craft and cook and to do little things to make people happy.
She is survived by her children Steven (Sally) Tidwell of Doraville, GA, Louise (Terry) Spears of Camak, GA, Joy (Mark) Young of Ludington, MI and Don (Mary) Tidwell of Lawrenceville, GA. She was preceded in death by one daughter Judy (Bennett) Reynolds. Also she is survived by her grandchildren. Angela, Christina, Heather, Terry, Jonathan, Kerrie, Shaun and Lacie. In addition she had 6 Great Grand children, Brandon, Tyler, Aidan, Drake, Camden and Easton. She also leaves behind 3 sisters Doris, Jeanette and Blondel and 2 brothers Robert and James. Her brother Bob preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, July 21, 2012 at Searcy Funeral home In Enterprise Alabama with Rev. Roger Stone officiating, Burial will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 9am to 11 am.
