Ruby Lee Herrington McNiel a resident of Pansey AL. passed away at the home of her daughter Becky Dixon, Saturday, Sept 8, 2012. She was 93.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday September 10, 2012 at the Union Springs Free Will Baptist Church with Brother Larry Carpenter and Brother Thomas Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 9, 2012, from 3 until 5 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials will be made to Union Springs Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery fund, P.O. Box 35, Pansey AL. 36370.
Mrs. McNiel was a giving person who enjoyed cooking “good food”, caring for and helping others and working in her vegetable garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence L. McNiel and infant daughter Suzanne; her parents Dave and Cleo Matthews Herrington; her sister Eloise Womack and her brother Jimmy Bob Herrington.
Survivors include two daughters Lawanda Lawler and her husband Roane of Ashford, Becky Dixon and her husband Jerry of Pansey, grandchildren David Lawler and wife Kaori; Jason Lawler and wife Celia; Jarrett Dixon and wife Aleah; Patty Alexander and husband Robbie; Kathy Arnold and husband Scot; great-grandchildren Justin, Jacob, and Mason Alexander, Taylor and Evan Dixon, Andrew and Ethan Lawler, Bruce and Emily Arnold; 3 nieces Deborah Ables, Connie Brown, and Patty Alston, a special neighbor and friend Janie Sandlin, 2 special caregivers Annice Mae Odom and Terrie Martin.
