Ruby Wynell Cronkhite of Geneva passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021.  She was 94.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Fred Bailey, officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service at Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.


Mrs. Cronkhite was born in Geneva County on July 25, 1926, to the late Walter Foxworth, Sr. and Ruby Pearl Jacobs Foxworth.  Prior to her retirement, she worked at Phillips Van Heusen for many years.  She loved dancing and working in her garden.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Cronkhite; five siblings, Franklin D. Foxworth, Walter Thomas Foxworth, Jr., Eloise Hughes, Ander “A.W.” Foxworth, and Doris Gilmore; and a daughter, Gale Crabb.


She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Barton (Ed) of Geneva; four daughters, Elaine Myers (Donald) of Keller, TX, Martha Ann Poolman of Kalamazoo, MI, Lorali Bailey (Fred) of Prattville, AL, and Susan Bailey (Edwin) of Baytown, TX; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
