                  Ruth Helen Harpe

 

            Ruth Harpe of Dothan age 78, passed away early Sunday morning, January 30, 2022  at Flowers Hospital. A memorial service with be held February 5, 2022 with Chaplain John Gormley officiating.

            Ruth was born on April 13, 1943 in Tuscaloosa, Al. She graduated from Tuscaloosa High School. She worked at Sony Corporation for 18 years and Dothan City Schools as a bus driver for 13 years where she retired. 

            Ruth is preceded in death by her parents William Crawford and Ruby Burroughs Crawford; brother David Crawford and sister Selena Crawford Marcum.    

            She leaves to cherish her. Her husband Robert Lamar Harpe; daughters Tina & Jimmy    Overstreet, Julie & Jim Powell both from Dothan and Wendy Blair from Headland.  Grandchildren are Brittany Overstreet, Jeremy & Megan Overstreet, Jason & Jessica Overstreet, Justin & Mackenzie Overstreet, Matthew Powell, Josh Blair and Dalton Spann; brothers Bill & Barbara Crawford, Willie & Corinthia Crawford, Daniel Crawford, Luther & Penny Crawford, Pete & Sue Crawford which is all from Opelika; sisters are Ellen Young & Kent Klepinger from Ohio and Maxine & Walter Pynes from Mobile.  She had several great grand-children and numerous                     nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all.
