Margaret Ruth Pyfrom age 91, a resident of Elba, Alabama entered into the presence of her heavenly Father, Monday, February 21, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at Wooten Chapel Assembly of God on Saturday, February 26, 2022 beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mike Medley officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Grove Community Cemetery with Hayes Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at Wooten Chapel Assembly of God on Saturday morning, February 26, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Flowers will be accepted, or those wishing to make memorials, are asked to do so to Wooten Chapel Assembly of God. c/o P.O. Box 608, New Brockton, Alabama 36351.
Mrs. Pyfrom, upon graduating high school, continued her education at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida where she became an ordained minister. Her missionary work spread throughout the southeastern United States and abroad. She eventually in ended up in the Bahamas, where she met her husband and began her family. She was passionate to share her love for her Lord with others and helped many over the years find their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Becky (James) Brown, New Brockton, AL, daughter, Margaret (Tony) Caterisano, Greenville, SC, daughter, Gayle (Peter Van Dyck) Pyfrom, Philadelphia, PA, daughter, Dee Dee (David) Murray, Elba, AL, along with sons, Philip Pyfrom and David Pyfrom also of Elba, Alabama. She is also survived by a sister, Esther Orr of Leesburg, FL, along with eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Philip Elisha Pyfrom, two sons, John Elisha Pyfrom, and Paul Isaac Pyfrom, along with a grandson, James A. Brown, and by her parents, Winnie Ann Ford, and James Noah Ford.
Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Pyfrom family.
