Ruthie Lee Correll, 88, of Dothan passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Westside Terrace.

Funeral services will be held 10 am Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Brother Woody Farrington officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Rd., Dothan, AL, 36303, or to the charity of your choice.

Mrs. Correll was born December 6, 1923 in Clarendon, Arkansas to the late James Franklin and Martha Lizzie Lewis. She was a homemaker, a precious and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She attended First United Methodist Church of Dothan. Mrs. Correll was preceded in death by her husband Edwin T. Correll, her parents, James Franklin and Martha Lizzie Lewis, and her siblings, Evelyn Lewis and Everett Lewis.

Survivors include her sons, Lonnie H. (Sondra) Correll and James E. (Cheri) Correll; step-daughters, Gloria Gilpin and Jean Cameron; grandchildren, Christopher (Peggy) Correll, Carole Ann Correll, Justin Correll, and Matthew Correll; great-grandchildren, Madison Correll, Chase Correll, Ana Correll, and Ava Correll.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Westside Terrace, Dr. Calvin Reid, and Covenant Hospice for the loving care and kindness shown to Ruthie.
