SALLIE SAULSBERRY
ABBEVILLE, AL… Sallie Saulsberry, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Saturday morning, August 27, 2022, at Aiken Regional Medical Center, in Aiken, South Carolina. She was 87.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Abbeville, Alabama, with Pastor Dwylan Glover officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday evening at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Miss Sallie Mae Saulsberry was born on July 4, 1935 to the late Mary Lee Saulsberry and Willie Lee Saulsberry. She departed her life on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, South Carolina. She joined New Bethel Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully. She worked at West Point Stevens & Alabama Power Company for many years. She also worked as a housekeeper as well.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her three children, Gene Saulsberry (Bonnie) of Abbeville, AL, Mary Sue Saulsberry of Cuthbert, GA, and Genece Porter (Garner) of Williston, SC; her four grandsons, Chris Saulsberry of Abbeville, AL, Antonio Saulsberry (Ariel) of Huntsville, AL, Rayshawn Porter of Williston, SC, Tyrese Johns, Cuthbert, GA; her granddaughter, Genarria Porter of Greenville, SC; her twelve great-grands; her God-Daughter, “Von” Renesia Goodson of Abbeville, AL; her special friend and neighbor, Don Peterman; a special friend, Daryle “Train” Warren of Headland, AL; a host of nieces and nephews and close friends.
