WEBB. . .Sam Nathan Grice, a resident of Webb, died early Monday morning, July 17, 2017, in Montgomery. He was 73.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 19, in the Webb Baptist Church with Reverend Joel Laseter and Reverend Ray Cobb officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will follow in the Bethlehem Assembly of God Church Cemetery near Pansey, with Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations directing. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday.


            A native of Houston County near Grangerburg, he had lived in the Webb area since 2004. Mr. Grice was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a 1963 graduate of Ashford High School and retired from Georgia Pacific in Cedar Springs, Georgia. Mr. Grice was a member of the Webb Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dale Jacobs Grice, and a sister, Juanita Adams.


            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Linda Holland (Warren Lasseter), Montgomery, and Patricia Marmo (Stephen), Webb; a brother, Herman Grice (Sandy), Eufaula; five grandchildren, Jordan Holland (Somer), Jennifer Holland, Jeremy Holland, Amanda Lynn Marmo, and Tyler Lasseter (Melissa); three great-grandchildren, Zander Holland, Connor and Dylan Clark; several nieces and nephews.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be, Keith Grice, Marty Grice, Larry Adams, Michael Adams, Tommy Adams, Ronald Holland, Michael Holland, and Kalen Jinks.
