Samuel “Sam” Wilson of Enterprise passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 surrounded by his family at home.  He was 91.

 

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Wooten Chapel with Rev. Mike Medley officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.

 

Sam was born January 2, 1926, in Coffee County.  He was a faithful member of Wooten Chapel.

 

He was preceded in death by parents, Shellie Franklin and Jessie Lee Edgar Wilson; brother, Heflin Wilson; sister, Duva Carter.

 

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wilson of Enterprise; five children: Rose Ann Cooper of Florala, Melissa Johnson of Oregon, Bridget Holloman of Enterprise, Jennifer Myers of Enterprise, and Shawn Wilson of Elba; two sisters: Nell Dunnavent and Frankie Sawyer, both of Wedowee; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
